I will trade/barter a large frb full of assorted wood pen blanks for an on-your-site tutorial on how to make pens. You must be within 100 miles of Guilford Ct, or 100 miles of Lewisburg WV. I can do this in WV in August, or in Connecticut in late September. Blanks will be cherry, walnut, red cedar, sassafras, gum, maple, and whatever else I decide to throw into the box. Any takers?

Man if I just lived close, I would be happy to spend a day with you and help you out with making pens. Maybe someone here will be willing to help you out.

Same deal, if you were closer to me you'd be welcome to drop by my shop.

Folks in my area- feel free to drop me a line if you get to the SE MN area and want to spend time in my shop!!!

Same as the others Ralph I wish I was closer! Would love to see your house and all you do down there in the mountains!

Kay bought a small grizzly lathe for me for Christmas. I have no tools, and I don't have a clue how to use it. Now it is still in the box in my WV workshop. I plan to bring it to Connecticut in September. I learn best by on-the-job training. My hope is that someone close will be willing to instruct a dummy

I not not within your 100 mile radius, but I am about halfway between your WV and CT locations. You are welcome to stop by as you travel north.

No, I come to you. I am in Connecticut only for another week. But I will be back in September, with my lathe. And a box of wood if you want it. That being said, you are welcome to have that beer on the beach house porch in Old Lyme. You might find my work there interesting.

Ok that works Too... The wife wanted clam cakes n chowder down there...

I'll have to tidy up my shop a bit now.....lol

Ralph - I'm on the path from WN to CT. Your welcome here anytime. You should help spread the WV experience and bring ramps wherever you go. To those who have never had them you will be a King :sarcastic: To those who have you will be a King of Kings!

Ramps are a West Virginia delicacy. Being from Illinois originally, I was clueless. If you haven't slept with someone who recently ate ramps, you really should! Or better yet, you eat them and then let your wife wonder what happened!
