As the title says, 12'' long x 2 3/8'' square, mulberry. This piece is dry, air dried 3+ years. Peppermill blank ? Duck calls ? Bottle stoppers ? A nice wooden mallet could be made from this chunk of wood, whatever...
Natural light shows the color best, but the sun refuses to shine in Illinois. The flash washes out the color on the inside pictures (bubble gum machine camera I use). After age/UV exposure mulberry turns a reddish tan. This was that color, but I ran it through the planer a couple days ago and removed the patina/cleaned it up abit.
I am going to add a ''wanted'' soon in the General Classifieds listing the things I am willing for trade, not wood related. (Heck look at the old ruler in the pictures of this wood, an old Stanley 24'' folding rule. I collect them, old rulers, and would swap wood for certain old rulers for example) I will link it to my for sale/trade posts here. I am always open to cash offers too, I don't have a $ in mind at the time of this post.
