These have 3/8" shanks, black oxide treated, about 7 1/4" - 7 1/2" long with cutter and screw. $50 each as shown unhandled, add $10 for handled (see 1/4' tool handle for typical, about 10" long handle) plus shipping. These use the same 6mm cutter as the smaller ornament tool, and are a bit easier to control than equivalent tools with larger cutters.

I also have a handled, as well as unhandled version of the ornament tool available again. This is the same tool I posted previously, but had to make more for locals, and I have a couple left. I have this one shown available handled, $45 as in original thread. If you want to make your own handle, I have a couple like the unhandled one shown with cutter and screw...$35 plus shipping. (First Class or Priority, you decide).

Hey Greg, I might...whatcha thinking about?

I have a small amount of exotics such as amboyna burl, white teak burl, red velvet tamarind burl, monkey pod, black and white ebony, spalted tamarind, sindora burl, and maybe a few others that have slipped my mind at the moment.

For domestics I have maple burl, cherry burl, curly walnut, cedar burl, curly maple, spalted maple, spalted elm, curly cherry, FBE, curly hawthorn, honey locust, black locust, and much more.

Was there something you were needing at the moment?

Amboyna or white teak burl sounds interesting. Something suitable (ie 2x2) for turning small boxes perhaps.

That is correct on the small and large hook tool with handles. Look forward to the pics!

I would like one unhandled. First class. zip 35043

What the total?
Alan, not sure which tool you're interested in. The unhandled 3/8" shank tool is $50. The unhandled 1/4" shank tool is $35. Shipping for either one First Class with Insurance would be about $3.50, or Priority for $5.

OK here is 2 pieces of burl for ya. 1 Amboyna 10 x 4.5 x 1.675. The white teak is 2 x 2 x 6 I would trade both of these to you for the tools. I do not have any other Amboyna but I could swap out a teak piece of the same size if you like.

I'm should have been more clear. My mistake. The unhandled 1/4" shank tool. So I assume the total is $38.50? Am i correct? Send me your PP addy.

That sounds great Greg. I'll send you a PM to work out details.

Update on what's still available.
I still have a 3/8" shank tool and a couple of the 1/4" shank tools. Handles can be made and added on request.
Alan and Greg, I'll ship no later than Monday. Thx guys.

Tim... I want to get one from ya but it will be after Christmas. We are in the process of looking for house so we don't have a lot of disposable income. I'll hit you up as soon as I can. Great looking tool

Not a problem Michael. Just tell me when ready. I make some batches throughout the year.

Greg, the amboyna and teak burl pieces are awesome. I don't think I'll turn them for quite some time, I'm enjoying too much just showing folks who aren't familiar with it how gorgeous it is. :treehuggerOh, and many thanks for the careful wrapping and peanut padding. :good:
I hope you enjoy the tools. Feel free to contact me if you have any issues with using them. There's a learning curve, but once you get past it, it will reward you with nice clean cuts.
If anyone is interested, I still have a few of the 1/4" hook tools and one of the 3/8" hook tools available. I can provide handled or unhandled. (currently, unhandled).

I haven't used the tools as of yet but I did get them and I really like the handles you put on them. I have used the hunter style tools before and they are pretty nice I would assume yours handles in a similar fashion correct?

Correct. If you're familiar with the Hunter style tools, these work the same way.
