8x8's are gone-have a bunch of 6x6- some are 8+ ' solid. Have not cut into them- I assume they are dry-everything else has been. all have some sap wood. will use a few live edge pieces for my bench.

Well now since you gave me that story I will give you mine. My great grandma came from Craotia-went thru Elis island in 1907. Her husband had been a captain in the polish army. They moved here cause she thought war was coming. He was a silversmith and they went to Chicago. In 1910 or 11 they tried to draft her 2 boys into the army in old country- She said sure and packed up and moved to south dakota which is where she lived until she died at 102. So I have to take the deal. If any of that makes sense. :yipee::yipee::yipee:

Yes, 2, I wonder if we can get away with this in a flat rate. Sure would be cheaper- I know I tried a 6" and it did not fly-looks like it is about 5 3/4. could make it smooth and get two in box almost 12" long???? what do you think?

Yes if it fits without altering the box it ships. I will smooth them out with the planer just enough to stuff the box. I think they are 12x12 5 1/2. Do you want the extra length?

No problem Tom but I don't think you will catch very many people here And I sure do not know. Jimmy-here are a couple pics before I cut more. The knot in the one is it going to be a problem. It is a little punky around it. Pretty color and solid where it comes out on end. I just do not want to send something you do not want.

Thanks Jimmy, I will box it up. When I am making boxes I like to work in the flaws and make them part of the work, but everyone does their own thing. I will get it in the mail Monday-thanks for the quick payment, Mike
