Was success to low due to cracking? I’m having a hard time keeping large bowls from cracking, but better success drying drum stick billets. Seems box lids would be easy enough to dry though.

No, no problems with craking, my Persimmon was good and dry, just didn't seems to have the fricton I need...some did, but most didn't and as well though oddly, it didn't seem to be heavy enough. I use a lot of Bloodwood, Granadillo and Ipe for my lids
