I have 2 slabs of American beech, roughly 2" thick, 10" wide by 7+ feet long. There is powder post damage in the sapwood but minimal in the heartwood. There is some checking. Barn stored for 20+ years. Willing to cut up for flat rate shipping containers for reimbursement of shipping costs and whatever receiver has to offer. Prefer adding new woods to my sample collection, but willing to accept US currency or donations to the Woodbarter site.

Also have some 3/4" A. beech with powder post history. Piece shown for Michelle so she can see the natural wood interface below the bark for beech.

I will try to get yours in mail tues or wed

Sounds great Mike, yours is in the van, just need to remember to mail it....

So I just looked, those planks are 9' long, well one is and the other now 4' long. Took a knotty piece out when cutting for Mike. So plenty left if others have desire to trade...

Thuya - Tetraclinis articulata - I have a single sample of burl with low density eyes. So I lack a common grain sample and a quality burled sample.

Movinqui - Distemonanthus benthamianus - I have 4 samples. One is a 2 part laminated sample of common grain. One is curly with both sapwood and heartwood, bug holes and blue stain in the sapwood, and one curly with sapwood and heartwood. And one sample with light curl.

Bosse - Guarea spp. - none, I do not have anything from this genus. Do you know which species you have? Either way I have none.

Oregon dogwood / Pacific dogwood - Cornus nuttallii - I have a single sample from a 5" stem, taken just over pith showing a flatsawn view of heartwood boxed with sapwood on both edges, with minimal rays seen on the pith side. I lack a 1/4 sawn sample and sample from a large diameter.

Western dogwood - Cornus sericea ssp. occidentalis - I have one very poor sample laminated with rot and spalt.

There is no pressure, or at least should not be. If you like, wait until my package arrives to be better comforted with what you have set aside. Bed time for me, Good Night.

Thank you Mike, a PM with tracking for you.

Still have enough to fill several boxes of various sizes if anyone wants...
