Hey Guys....another manzanita large chunk o' wood for sale. Pretty fresh/green but starting to get the checks it will end up with. Lots of wet/misted pics and a "dry" one after it sat for a few days.
MZ41, $45.00 + $15.00 to ship $60.00 total. Manzanita whole burl. Measurements in the pics. Dry and misted pics show it pretty well. Consider this burl green. It was dug less than a year ago so it will develop more drying checks. Manzanita saves water in the burl for dry years so when the water evaporates checks appear. Lots of folks have "remedies" to keep them from checking but I haven't seen any that work....yet. ; ) Lots of solid wood in this piece. Gotta make this disclosure for the guys who haven't worked with it before: Manzanita may have cracks/checks/voids/dirt/rocks/possibly a creepy crawlie that got overlooked. These pieces may have some/all/or none of the above. : ) (and yep, there's a story there) : (
