** ENDED ** Assorted veneers

What flavor thins are you looking for? Maybe start another want ad with that info. Bet we get a lot of action. There are lots of folks who trim a piece and go "that's too darn nice to burn" and the thin piece gets stuck in the corner.
Another, less qualified source of thins in 3 inch widths, is pallets. I have seen quite a few exotic woods riding a pallet stringer.

Probably should start a new thread on this, as I don’t want to hijack this one. Looking for 1/4” thins in distinctive colors. Chuck

Chuck, is 1/4" your max? I can usually buy 1/4" to 3/8" cut-offs for I think $5 per pound. There is a solid wood drum maker here that steambends the drum bodies. They resaw a lot of nice wood and usually have maple, walnut, and some exotics.

The final size is 1/4”. I can plane or sand down to that with thicker stock. Only looking for wood that has more distinct colors in it. I already have plenty of Maple, Walnut, and Cherry. Chuck

Is there more to lot 1 than what's shown?
Well, I don't know if I have more of Lot 1. They are stored in a stacked setting. I need daylight to help me see and time to see if there are more. Only one envelope of Lot 1 in that box. I have a few more of lot 2 and several envelopes for several more lots. Most of the envelopes are priced at $5 each, but the shipping to secure safety of the product costs more than the product. Implying, it is cheaper to buy a few envelopes.

2 curly European walnut
3 koto
4 mahogany crotch
5 curly maple
6 bleached mottled makore

8 fiddleback white limba
9 padauk
10 iroko
11 prima vera

Lot 2:
LOT #MCV2

2 English brown oak
3 yew
4 yellow pine
5 tulip poplar with green color (which does not show up well here)

10 hard maple
11 izambi

I'd be interested in 2 of each of you have another lot 1. No rush at all. I'm going on vacation tomorrow and won't be back for a week.

Go have fun if you can. Remind me when you get back and I can post pictures and go from there. Thanks.

Sounds great. Thank you.
Bill,

I only have one envelope left from lot #1. I have a few from lot #2. Did you have any other interests?

Lot #3 is sold out but lot #4 has a few left.

4 tiama
5 brown-heart American white ash

7 figured bigleaf maple cluster burl
8 curly rift cut etimoe
9 cerejeira
10 flat cut figured anigre

I can fit 5-6 envelopes in a USPS medium Flat rate game box. These boxes come with insurance and are common sizes. Other packing options would take me longer and cost more in the end.

@Mr. Peet - I'll take the lot #1 above, 2 of lot #2 and 2 of lot #4.
You have 5 veneer envelopes soon in route. So $25 for the veneer, and $19.15 to ship. I used the USPS medium flat-rate for ease of packing, shipping, tracking and insurance. Should be there next week. Let me know when it arrives. After you inspect the product, if you find all acceptable, you can send me a check. If there are issues, I will work with you. Thanks.

I will pass. Gonna have to go with "thins" myself.
Wayne, I have several rips from making some samples that range from 1/16th to 3/16ths thick. Most are 3" wide by 6" long:
Bird's eye soft maple, Western white pine, Red tip photinia, Coffinwood, Baurt nut, White cedar, Speckled basswood, Rosarosa, Live oak, Curly Katalox, Scarlet oak, Giant chinkapin

I could pack them with a 5" x 5" x 1.75" Black cherry pot blank and a 6" x 6" x 1.375" Imbuia pot call blank.....
