Well the only thing I've expressed interest in is the 3 x 3 x 20 blank. Not because I don't want them all though.

Maybe you can slip one more "stealth wood buy" by the missus. :creep:

Tell her you bought her a present but you have to work on it a little once you get it before it's ready to present to her.

I made a typo earlier the long blank is a 3 x 3 x 16 I had typed 3 x 3 x 20. Anyway I plan to make a pepper mill and salt shaker from it.

It was cut this winter and slabbed out last week. So it is pretty fresh. All the local turners I know like the ash pretty green because it turns very nicely and is fairly forgiving. Once dry it cuts hard.

The reddish orange wood is Buckthorn Rhamnus cathartica. Its a shrubby tree that is considered an invasive species throughout the U.S.. Crappy little tree, but beautiful heartwood.
