**ENDED** Camphor Burl

I'll post a few pieces of the Camphor Burl I showed in another thread a few days ago. I'll start with one piece and add as time permits. These are all still somewhat green.

I cut this piece to 12" and 4 3/4" lengths. they are at least 3 1/2" x 3 1/4" square. I'll take $19 + shipping for this one (both pieces).

There are voids all the way through, but they have very nice burl figure. I have a few more pieces that I'll post later.

In the last post, there were a few who claimed a chance at this. I believe the list is as follows:

I'll go ahead & keep posting. These are pieces that will be great for casting. These are all a heavy 1" square. The two long ones are 6 1/4" long and all the others are 5 1/4" long.

Do you know why these pieces cracked so badly? I have a few pieces and none of them did this. I'm just curious to find out why yours did.

Oh I wasn't dibbing, my dibbing budget is drained. I was just asking about cracks. Tell you what I'll buy the cracks so when you buy the wood it'll be solid through and through. Then I can turn around and sell the cracks to someone with solid wood that needs casting blanks.

Kevin, I bought this piece green & it was still very wet. This is a picture of the back piece that I sliced off. If you notice the "white circle" it was the only area that wasn't wet - it was bone dry. The wood was so dry in that area there was some dry-rot in the center 3" of it. I'm betting this chunk was sitting too close to a fire at some point.

I'll have to pass on these. Unfortunately the wood is fantastic BUT the size isn't right for my various projects right now. :cray::cray: If you have some 4x4 or 5x5 in lengths > 6" I would be VERY interested
