Phinds mentioned needing cedar a few days ago and we have been communicating about it since. Top piece is second growth western red grown in eastern wash.- Middle is old growth 4' diameter dead tree cut in 1972- I know I cut it- another whole story. Very tight grained- has been a fence post in mom's yard ever since but finnaly rotted off in ground. Cut it to expose grain this morning and it still has the wonderful smell. Bottom is Port Orford cedar. Have 4 pieces like this-guitair blanks- I have had it for 2 years -still has a great smell. I want to keep 2 pieces- jewelry box lining!! If you need more pics paul-ask away. Also if there is interest in red cedar other then Paul I have more- just ask.

Chewing all that wood-you must have a cast iron mouth istead of stomach. :yipee::yipee: It will be varying sizes Jimmy they are split posts. I will clean them up and put them in LFR $45. fair?? including shipping. What kind of wood do you want to fill gaps.

What is the thickness of the middle piece?? And no I haven't gotten to the persimmon yet. I've been working on three outdoor tables. My wife has a garden tour of our property by the local garden club in two weeks. Everything needs to be spit-shined and purty. Spread 30 yds of mulch last weekend.
