Up for consideration is a box of cherry burl. It will ship from 53045 in a 22lb. box of 9 x 12 x 12. Get yourself a ballpark on shipping. I will not charge extra for the checking, voids, bark inclusions, cracks, and overall unusable material.:sarcastic: $50 plus shipping. A note of caution: the 2 close-up pics are of the nicest pieces in the lot. :good2:

Is the price too high? I know I talked down on it but this is going to make some nice turnings.

I've had them about 18 months. Here is an urn I made year ago. The cover was milled from this same stuff.

John that is beautiful, I love the lid and the spalted? cherry on bottom. Let me see what that will cost to ship, Thanks Mike

The big block is 6 x 6 1/2 x 8. The cap is 3 x 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 at its' widest points. The other piece is 2 1/4 x 6 x 6 1/2 at its widest and the 5 sticks are 1 3/8 square x 9. Some of this would be perfect for your castings and some will not need it at all.

I may be interested, lets see what Mike decides as he showed interest first. I will not be able to commit right now because I just dropped $600 on resin so I am tapped but if still available once I replace that money I will let you know.
 
Sorry everyone I forgot about this thread- I am too busy right at the moment- ended up with a situation with FIL that takes first- you guys go for it- man I love cherry burl.:cray::cray::cray::cray:

I checked FedEx and it was only $17 via ground going by the specs in the OP. UPS is outrageous.

Eric, I just plugged the info into my FEDEX account and although I cannot remember where you live I used Grand Junction zip code to get the rate since that's about as far west as Western CO gets. Your rate is $17.16 if you open a FEDEX account. It's free and easy to use. Think of how much money you'll save using FEDEX vs UPS. UPS is always much higher. This one shipment alone will save you over ten bucks! And if youlive closer to 53045 than Grand Junction it could be cheaper.

I can email a prepaid label to Pinky until you set your account up if you want, and you could just paypal me the cost of the label.

Kevin and Chris are right about FED EX- Kevin told me about it and we have saved a boatload of money ever since- especially on our lights.
