This piece is telling me it wants to be more than a lamp blank… defect free and endgrain is sealed. Can calculate shipping on the USPS interweb site at 12 lbs. in a 12 x 7 x 9” box from 03809 NH. $30 $25cash or check only plus shipping.

Glad the $$ got there John.

I roughed out the Burl yesterday and sanded it a bit today. Gonna let it rest for a couple weeks then finish the foot and get some oil on it. I’m loving how it’s “turning out”.

Almost exactly how I imagined it, except with a little more roundness than I was originally planning on. 8” across x 5.5” tall.

That's a beauty. Can't wait to see it once it's fully dried with some finish on it. Neat positioning on the lathe to keep most of the burl bark.
