**ENDED** Curly/Tiger Maple Flat Stock

I have a bunch of curly maple shorts to offer up for trade or sale.

This is all 4/4 but has been lightly planed on both sides to show the grain. Most of it is between 7/8" and 1" in actual thickness. All of it will plane to a finish thickness of 3/4" and some a bit thicker. I have boards from 5" wide to 12" wide with an average width of about 8". Lengths average 3' to 4' with a couple up to 5' and 6'.

There are varying degrees of curl in this stock. Some boards, the curl is only in smaller places but most of it is curly throughout. The pics I'm posting are to show how much I have and the varying degrees of curl.

This wood is all dry. I believe its kiln dried but it is possible its air dried I guess. I purchased this about 1 year ago and it has been stored inside my garage since.

If anyone is interested, let me know what size your looking for and I'll post pics of specific boards.

I'd really prefer to trade for other woods but I am willing to sell also so I can just buy other wood!!

Trade interests......

I'm mainly looking for turning stock but I have more pen blanks than I know what to do with right now so I'm looking for a bit bigger stock. Mainly 2x2 and 3x3 in varying lengths. I may consider some small bowl blanks up to maybe 8" by varying thicknesses.

Mainly interested in figured woods and other woods that are not readily accessible in OH. If your interested in my stock though, let me know what you have regardless, all I can say is no thanks, right?

I'm also interested in burls, mainly amboyna. Not looking for large chunks but rather stuff that could be chopped into small blanks.

I'm interested in this piece if it's as flamed as it appears. I have Mesquite, figured crotch walnut, FBE, and other stuff I'm digging out too. If interested in these species I'll post some pics. I'm cool with cutting boards down to 23 7/8" for game box flat rate.

Kevin, this is the curliest piece I could find. Its quite a bit smaller and has a defect. The dimensions are 7/8" thick, 5 1/2" wide and 28" long.

And heres a pic of the defect. It looks like a worm hole or a beetle hole to me but I cant tell how deep it is.

Okay, I'll take the smallest one for sure, and also one piece of the one I initially picked UNLESS Jim needs all of that biggest board in which case let him have that one. So at this point dicker with him and see what he needs before finalizing mine. After that we can work on filling the large flat rate box with other stuff once you get Jim squared away.

Hey Jim, the whitest boards are the ones with the least curl. None of this stuff is dark though. Give me an idea of what sizes your looking for and I can better help you. I'd hate to have to go out and take a pic of every board allthough I think thats probably whats gonna happen eventually, lol.

As long as I'm not interfering with the Kevin deal, shoot me a price on the one to the right. Will you do any trading? I have access to a lot of exotic lumber and turning stock.
Stay close by tonight, as I'm putting some pictures up (in another thread) of my Blackjack. It is very unique. I cut some bowl blanks and turning stock today.

Yes, I prefer to trade. I just posted here cause they are for sale or trade and I'm under the impression the trading forum is strictly trading.
