This one goes out local only, it’s too heavy to ship. Believe it’s Ipe, dry, ready to use with some real nice crotch figure. Got a bad reaction to the fine dust similar to what I get from rosewoods when turning a cutoff of it last week so want it gone. Will trade for unique wood to make 6 x 6 x 2.25” blanks from.

If the sawdust from this wood is yellow when you cut it, it's ipe. If not, it's something else. We get a lot of ipe in S. Fla., where it's used a lot for decks and docks.

There are many different species called ipe so it’s not hard to imagine that some of them don’t have corresponding features.

Let's see, Oregon to New Hampshire, 2,991 miles, 45.5 hours one way... dang, that's just beyond my range.
