This is the original Anchorseal. We have not had much luck with the Anchorseal 2. It breaks down much easier than the original. Thanks for asking the question. I didn't think of listing that fact.

David could you elaborate on what you mean by "breakdown"? My experience is opposite. I never liked AS original and stopped using it years ago. But I like the AS2 a great deal.

David could you elaborate on what you mean by "breakdown"? My experience is opposite. I never liked AS original and stopped using it years ago. But I like the AS2 a great deal.

With our experience the AS2 did not hold the blanks over time. It was great when you first applied it but it was almost like you didn't apply it all after several months. We found the same results with logs. We found these conditions in the winter months here in Indiana. We did not originally have a heated holding area for our blanks but now have a heated warehouse (thank goodness). The blanks we sealed with the AS2 would develope far more cracks over time than the AS1. It seemed the AS2 was a much thinner product and would not protect the blanks over the long term as well as the AS1. Could have been a bad batch I suppose but we went back to the AS1 and have not had the problem since. We always use the winter mix version.

Yes they make two versions. We always order the winter version. It has an additive which keeps it from freezing. Very helpful in the winter for the northern states.
