[attachment=2966]Rick, here is a pic of a 31x4 1/2 x3 and I have this chunk of the dark- red highlights and an irredescnt hue. I have more of both. Drawer front pic is made of dark with a coat of finish. This piece will be sold or traded cause I do no lathe work and it is made for a bowl or? Let me know? 2nd piece is 7x14

Roy what amazes me is that the outside frame and the dark interior of drawer front is the same tree. I am almost done with this project-all the wood is from the same tree and if I did not know it was the truth I would think it could not be the truth.

Roy, your wood is from a different tree. I have some of that tree or I should say yard of trees left. The drawer is from a different tree-the border-frame is the sap wood-straight and tan. Not white and curly like what you have. Like I always say one of the wonderments of mother nature......................... wood.

Rick, I assume you want the curly one. Pick something that I can turn into inlay or?? I do flat work, boxes etc. How do you want me to cut for flat rate box?
