I'm looking for a piece of figured Maple that's roughly 10" wide by 12" long, and at least 1/2" thick. Anyone got anything like that, that you'd be willing to part with at a decent price?

What Kind of figure? burl, curl, quilt or??

I think curl or quilt would be best. I've got a project in mind for a friend of mine who's about to open a business for the first time, and I want to put his symbol on top of it....sorta like the shingles folks used to hang to advertise waaaaay back when. It doesn't need to be spectacular, just good. 'Course, I wouldn't turn my nose up at spectacular.....
