**ENDED** Looking for pen blank to make a pen for a fireman

I always thought a pen made from flame boxelder would be really cool thing to give a firefighter. I'll donate the blank for this cause if you decide to go with FBE. I really have a ton of respect for firefighters and EMTs.
 
Oh yeah I hadn't clicked the link yet that is a very cool pen kit.

I've done a couple FBE/FBEB pots for firefighters... The emails always start out "I want something that looks like it's on fire". Too bad they don't have an inlay kit with FBE as the main wood.
 
Those kits are pretty nic.e I did one for a police officer here and Dallas and had his badge number lasered into it. They requie some fine sanding and a little filling(I used African Blackwood turning dust and it turned out real nice.

I agree a stunning piece of FBE would look great
 
My brother-in-law is part of the local FD where he lives and I am planning to make him a pen for this Christmas from either this blank (which is, unfortunately, out of stock right now) or some of @Kevin 's FBE or @justallan 's FBE Burl I've got with a possible clear decal with logo over it.
 
You could always toast a nice Osage blank... I love the look, and it's actually made with fire.
 
Here's a few that may work for you. They're sure nothing to brag on, but I think they will make some nice pens. Sorry about the spectacular job cutting blanks.
