**ENDED** Maple burl cap (sale or trade)

I actually traded for this burl several years back (5 ?) and the previous owner had it for at least 5 himself...so it's dry.

It's approximately 20'' x 20'' and a little over 6'' thick at the thickest part. It's 25 lbs dry, nice chunk 'o wood for resawing or one bigass burl bowl.
This will be updated later with better pictures, camera phone on a rainy day (and some dudes thumb in the last picture trying to show a closeup of the grain

I don't know what this burl is ''worth'', but I know what I have in it. I traded a guy on the west coast, wholesale deal, my wood for his (a pallet each) He said he retailed his burl like this at $4 lb, wholesaled it to me for $2 a pound, I sent him my wood at 1/2 my retail...So I have $50 basically in this 25lb burl. I'd like to recoup if I could ? I won't be insulted by offers if you regularly buy burl and know different, it's not really my market. I traded for it for my own use...and, well haven't used it yet.

I will throw this out there too. I have odd collections, rocks for example (just off the top of my head) I am open to trade oddities.

By forum rules you are second dibs, I already priced it to another member ($50 for the burl and $20 actual shipping, he lives closer) If I have not heard back in a couple days I will assume it is a pass from him.

We started a thread about shipping Hopefully we can figure out how to get these deals done cheaper. The quotes I got to Texas were $23 and change FedEx- $25 and change UPS on a box 24x24x8 and 27 lbs. So let's just say $75 to your door total or trade.

Quite possibly, I was starting a ''for trade list'' non wood items to trade for wood I post, geodes were on it. If you and I are swapping pictures would be cool.

I took pictures of another decent maple burl, 20 lber, I will post soon. (tried to get to it today...just one thing after another and it didn't happen)

Yea Paul, I sent you a PM too, the other guy (first guy) took it for that. I am listing another, maybe you will like it ? Sorry we couldn't deal. But I would still be interested in geodes, if not on the next burl maybe something else I list.

BTW are you interested in fossils? I have some fish left still from my last trip to Wyoming...
