Got this as an extra on a trade. Not sure what it is but I'd like to have it casted into a knife block. Smells sweet when sanded and us quite heavy. I have lots russian olive burl to trade for this service. We can work out details in pm. @kris stratton @Final Strut 1445981087268-734648431.webp 144598112574350402658.webp

Norm, that'll make a sweet knife block once cast! From looking at it, I'd say most likely Brown Mallee Burl. But Red Mallee Burl of Corrugate Burl are also possibilities. It's definitely Australian.

Don't believe corrugata but I agree with brown mallee. Can't see color well on this phone but looks more brown than red.

Brown Mallee was my first choice, but I have had a piece pass through my hands that was labelled Corrugata and looked very similar.

Yeah well your comment is as funny as a screen door on a battleship

Hey Einstein you meant to say that's about as funny as a screen door on a submarine. :sarcastic2:

Lol I bought 2 cans of that stuff based on the screen door in the boat commercials like 7 years ago. I still have the cans somewhere.
