Here is a very nice Nicaraguan rosewood block that measures 13" long by 6.5" wide by 2" thick. It will make two great 6" bowls that will show both heartwood and sapwood. This has been in my stash for many years and it measures 12% MC. Very dense but easily turned as I understand.
Of course you could also make call blanks, pen blanks, etc. and are limited only by your imagination.
The photos below show all the sides and ends. There are two very minor hairline checks just on the surface that should turn out or could be easily repaired with CA.
