**ENDED**olive to trade

Kevin said:
Okay you wood concubines, Dean and I chewed the phone line up this morning and hammered out a tentative agreement, close enough to turn him loose on y'all.

The bad news is I lied to y'all and traded for every last shred of his olive wood, curly gnarly redwood, Myrtle burl, spalted curly quilted fiddlback maple burl, and also all of his black locust burl.

The GOOD news is, and sit down because this is really great news, since I feel so bad about not leaving any olive, I agreed not to trade for any of his clear, straight-grained pine, spruce, or fir. That stuff doesn't have any runout at all. Probably make the best wall studs of all time.

So y'all enjoy.

I have quite a collection of heavy MFRB's which are starting to block access to my chop saw! BUT, I have been thinking about adding another layer (like bricks building a wall) with some Olive wood. Heck, I will have to just move my chop saw outside :rotflmao3:

The wood hoard continues! So is there any Olive left?:thewave:
yes there is plenty
tell me what you want

You have any interest in Honey Locust or Catalpa? I have some that I will be cutting up in the next week, week and a half. If your interested in either, I'd be interested in a couple peppermill blanks 3 x 3 x 12 and/or a couple smallish bowl blanks.

BTW, my HL and catalpa are both green.

I know there are several people ahead of me but if you think your interested, I can get some pics up for you to look at. Also let me know roughly what sizes your interested in. It may be a day or two before I can get pics though. I'm at the hospital with the wife and the new baby. I think they are going to let us come home on Mon though!!
I would like to see catalpa pics.
I just posted for sale

If you ever decide to sell some large chunk of that beautiful Olive wood, I know an :old: gentleman turner who would love to make some lidded boxes out of it. :help::help::pleasantry: .....................Jimmy
I will be doing that when I am done with Kevin.
Olive is green and moves a bit. You would have to double turn it. I like to rough it out then boil it for an hour. I will pm you when I can
Dean
I just posted it for sale
what size are you wanting
Thanks Dean

Ok what is MFRB?
Yes there is some left
Thanks

MFRB = medium flat rate box. There are two sizes.

LFRB = large frb. There are two sizes.

SFRB = small frb. There's one size.

Order free FRB here delivered to your door. Your local PO can give you a few until yours arrive. Their website is sort of a PITA but hey free boxes and free delivery.

Be careful ordering. "Qty 1" usually means a box of 10 to 25 of each. Read the fine print.
