From what I read I do not think so But I would PM Dean!!
try putting it in a paper bag to slow the drying. The boiling drives a lot of moisture out of the cells which speeds up the drying considerably. Some times I can finish turn and let it dry a few days then sand and finish The whole thing takes less than a week.BassBlaster said:I got my wood also. I dont really have time during the week to be roughing out a bunch of stuff so I milled it all into blanks and its on the stove right now boiling. My question is, after this stuff boils, cools and comes out of the water, should I still end seal it before putting it on the shelf?
. If I make the apartment smell like food one more time and it turns out to be wood I think Jen might kill me.dean jordan said:Sorry guys but I am out of the olive business for right now. I will probably have some more in a month or so.I do have some pieces left for those that wanted more. I will post some pics at a later date. Its been nice meeting new fellow woodworkers.
