The narrowest useable heartwood section is only 3 1/2" wide, otherwise the widest spot is 7", the thickness is 1 1/16" and the length is 29". I have a couple more of these planks and they may be just a bit wider. All have been in my garage for several years so are dry. Osage orange is a marvelous wood with a very strong grain pattern and a beautiful bright yellow color when fresh cut but which unfortunately changes over time to a brown color --- still attractive, but NOT like the bright yellow. See my site for more discussion.

Please see http://www.woodbarter.com/showthread.php?tid=90 for my barter interests

Bummer, I was hoping the piece I salvaged would stay that lovely yellow color! :empathy3:

It will. For about 20 minutes in the sun, or 20 years in a dark vacuum, and everything in between. The only way to avoid it totally is to stop time. :timeout: :stop:
