IMG_20150820_180141539.webp I have 16 pen blanks that have been stabilized that I would like to trade for a nice pen. 4 Maple burl 5 3/4" x7/8" , 4 FBE 5 7/8 x 7/8 , 1FBE 5" x 7/8" , 1 spalted beech 5 3/4" x 7/8", 6 spalted maple 5 7/8" x 7/8", they have been sprayed with lacquer for pictures . Michael, I'd be interested in trading you a nice pen for those blanks.

I can either make a pen for you with one of those blanks, another blank I have, or send you one I already have completed.

Here are some I already have completed. Those not available are marked with sold. Also available are these pens, save for the one in Cherry Burl. DKMD has laid claim to it and we'll be working out a trade for it.

Matt, sounds like a deal to me , let me look through all the pens you have posted, I looked through briefly but with so many choices , I definitely will need to do some siffering( if that is a word ) but hopefully you get the picture. Thanks for the fast response , I remember seeing your post a while back but I never could find it or I would have just posted there, because I liked what I saw.

Matt, the pen is going to be for wife and she went right for the jugular, she likes the box elder triton. My question to is , is the wood I posted a fair enough trade for that pen ? I don't make pens and I don't sell wood , so I am counting on you to let me know . If it is could you explain to me what kind of tip is on this pen and can you refill it , and maybe a couple of pictures with top removed . Thanks
 
Michael, here's a few more pics of the pen to help answer your questions about it. It is a rollerball and takes a rollerball refill. It comes supplied with a high quality Schmidt rollerball refill already in it. Since the blanks you're offering are all stabilized already, I'd say trade value is fine by me and I don't have a problem trading this pen for those blanks. I'm well stocked on a lot of different kinds of maple right now, but am quite low on blanks with nice black line spalting like those, so I'm definitely game for all the blanks you've offered. I'll send you a PM too.

@Sprung , box of blanks was sent out today, no rush on pen , just letting you know. I have to do things as I think about them are things will be forgot about .

Sounds good - and completely understand about the forgetting things - my wife tells me all the time about how forgetful I am. Pen will go out on Monday. Was in the shop and lost track of time and missed getting to the post office before they closed at noon.

Matt, I received the pen today and all I can say is WOW!! The craftsmanship is spot on . I do not know if I am going to give my wife the pen or not. Thanks again

Very glad to hear that it arrived safely and that it is well liked! Thanks again for the trade! If you need a second pen to keep the peace by allowing you to each have a nice pen, let me know and I'm sure we can work something out.
