Derek, this is what I've got. If you want close-ups of any or measurements let me know. If any of these work, I can cut them for you if necessary. Thanks, Tony IMG_20150308_125229.webp

Wow, you weren't kidding that you have some antler! They all look like they would work for me. I can't really use the areas what are out near the end of the points... at least I don't have much luck drilling them. If you can cut them up in about 2+" length that would be great and probably easier to ship. I still need to get into my walnut to get a picture for you. We'll need to figure out a antler/wood ratio too. I'm will to take all your antler if I have enough walnut to work it out.

Okay, I will tape off what I think you want and take a pic later this week. Dam full-time job interferes with my hobby!!!!

@Tony I'd be interested in some antler if you come into some more. Just let me know what you'd be looking for in trade or price. Thanks.

@DRW, I will let you know when I get some more, but @Bigdrowdy1 has plenty I think. Rodney should be able to help you a lot quicker than I can. Tony

Derek, how much of the tip do you not want, is there a minimum diameter, or would you rather I just cut and ship all of it and you can keep what you want?

Sorry, just saw your message. In general when it starts getting thinner then my pinky finger it is too small. How's that for a gauge?

That will work. I will tape them off and post pictures later this week. Tony

I'm really not trying to make this the longest possible trade tread in history. I just have been busy and am on vacation next week to boot.

Here is a horrible picture of the rough piece I have. If I remember correctly it is just under 10" wide, just under 3" thick, and about 45" to the chalk line. Above that line is a crack in the wood and there about a 1/2" of sapwood on the left side. I know you mentioned only needing 16" lengths. So how about 2-16"+ pieces (about 6.5 bdft) shipped as an even trade

No problem Derek, I fully understand. Actually, 24" is an ideal length for me. Could you just cut the bottom part to 24" and send both pieces? I can deal with the crack no problem. I'll pay you for the extra wood, it's not a fair trade for you just for the antlers. Also, do you want the horns cut up? I don't mind doing it, but I don't want to get rid of something you could use. I could just cut them off the skull and ship them that way if you like.

Ok that is fine. I'm headed out to Flordia and won't be able to ship it until after next week. You can just cut them from the skulls and trim them up as needed to fit the box.

Derek
