Hey all, I am interested in finding some pure white Holly to make a few segmented bangles. I prefer 4x4x4 min, but would consider 4/4 kd boards if I can't find turning stock. Any takers? MFRB is plenty.

Thanks!:thanx:

Green is okay. I just want to make some black and white bangles and I have seen some holly that looks like 'ivory' on piano keyboards. I can stabilize the wood and it will go from green to hard in a few hours.

BG we do not have any cut/slabbed that will fit your needs. BUT we do have some logs that will fit yous size requirements. I am not sure how white they are, if small rounds 6''-8''will work for you I will cut some off and see how white the inside is.

Lemme know

Logs or rounds are just fine, but I only worry about yield on my end. If I can only get one 4" circle out of a 6" log, there is a lot of waste (plus shipping volume). It can make the $ per bangle pretty high. Thoughts?

Little bit of bark on some corners, but they measure 4.25x4.25, can get you 2@11" from this piece to fit MFRB.

Looks like is has been sitting to long (Cut in Feb) It will make for some nice spalted holly but I dont think you will find enough white to make it worth the effort. I will let you know when we get some fresh stuff.

:sorry2: :dunno:

Rob, yeah the Holly is starting to look a little funky. Thanks for checking on it for me! I will work on some Mahoe Friday morning and see what happens. Should be interesting working on that dark blue/green stuff :sofa:
:thanx:
