I want to thank missus Rebuild for making my first trade here a good experience!

I got these blanks from a single block of firewood liberated from a neighbors
woodpile. While roughing them out, I developed a violent allergic reaction to
the wood or sap...bad enough that I won't attempt to turn it anymore. If
anyone can use these partially roughed out bowls (both ate approx 8.5" dia
and 4" tall), I'd trade them for most anything, but would love to acquire some
good figured maple or walnut to use for inlays...shorts and flatstock are fine,
whatever you have, I'm easy.

RE: roughed out FBE bowls

Sorry to hear that twist. You can use a positive pressure dust mask and that should prevent such an occurrence. I have the one sold by peachtree woodworking supply out of georgia. It's great.

I'm going to resize your pictures for you this time they are entirely too big. It looks like you didn't crop out the portions of the images where there is a white field. Keep the largest dimension of your pictures at 1000 pixels or less.

Good luck with your trade - I'll wager you have a trade with someone by the end of the day. :good:

a;so are they been resealed it helps to know on my end :rofl2:

Both have been 100% resealed in paraffin, and I'm open to about anything
except pen blanks, I turn bigger stuff. Are you interested in one or both bowls?
either way, just box up whatever you think is fair and I'll do the same

Hi there... BigCougar has first dibbs on this, of course, (I'd never ever get in his way!) but if you and he can't strike a deal, we have some NIP we would love to trade with you for those bowl roughs. If interested, we'll post some pics. :hi:

Sounds like Roy is backing away, not sure what NIP is (I have trouble with someof the abreviations here), but I am definatly interested

RE: roughed out FBE bowls

Now that I know what NIP is, yes it is certainly acceptable by me so long as Roy has no problems with our bypassing him on his first dibbs.

How do you mean not working what is happening when you try to upload maybe I can help.

Hi Kevin...the file size is too big. I resized them down to 700 pix, but they are still coming in at over 200kb. sometimes i can copy to a word doc and then save as smaller file, but still over 100kb. I don't have anything other than paint to edit photos. and if i make the pics smaller, the detail is lost. So, not sure how to compress, etc to reduce file size. Thx for catching this post and helping! :wacko1:

Zoe, it sounds like you just need a free online compression tool like http://www.imageoptimizer.net there's no download, no signup, no email required no nothing. Once you sixe your pics down to 1000 or less pixels just go to the image optimizer site and upload it to their site. Then click "Optimize". That's it. It's quick, easy, and no signup or download hassles.

It might not be the perfect solution but until you find something better it's pretty painless. Also there's sites like lunapic.com but not sure it could do much more than paint. Let me know if this helps, and if not we'll keep klooking for a solution . . . .

RE: roughed out FBE bowls

That will work. I understood it wouldn't be bowl blanks. pm me your shipping info and I'll get the two bowls boxed up and sent....send whatever you think is fair, I know you'll do me right.

.. two of us good thing we have plenty of room:yipee::yipee:

Maybe that means you'll also be shipping out twice as much of that ugly Florida wood that pisses me off so bad. :pleasantry:
