Beautiful stuff... Unfortunately, my skin takes on a similar rosy color after any contact with silky oak!

It's very similar to Australian lacewood in appearance.
I need to Google it but the phone is in slow mode..........slower than me mode....may have to wait

sorry about not replying earlier just got back on. I am looking for around 10 pieces if you guys have that many? Dry.....any takers and how much?
Here is what I mentioned in our PM Pappy, the 3 big pieces will make 12 blanks to your specs, I will cut them up for you or you can have em whole. I threw in the 2 skinnies on the right, they are only about 1.25 square, they are yours too if you can use em...

Pappy - Here are the ones I cut for you. The block I cut these from was 7" thick, so rather than throwing away the cutoffs and send 4" blanks. I just left em whole. That way you have say over which sections you want. 11 total evan though you only requested 10.

I'm glad your doing this Pappy. I have always thought silky oak would be great for dye and stabilize. Never had the capability myself to check it out....
