I'm in the process of cutting up a few chunks of sycamore. I don't want to finish cutting until I have a good feel for what size & shape will be the most desired.

I have 3 chunks that are approximately 10-12" diameter and 12-14" long. I've cut one into smaller chunks and split another in half. These are all mildly spalted and have worm holes throughout. There are some cracks along the outer edges but not very deep (just inside the bark.) The wood is not dry; the tree has been dead about a year, but is still green.

Here are some pics of one I split. I'll trade for figured/fancy peppermill blanks or cash. I'll take green or dry blanks, but prefer dry if you have it. I'll take the cash green or dry.:sarcastic:

My favorite blanks would include Figured Claro Walnut, IRW, FBE, Olive, Any Burl or nice exotic, etc. Please throw some offers or comments at me. I'll try to get a few more pics up soon.

The upright piece in the middle is approximately 5"x6"x14" for reference. I've also attached a couple photos of small cut-offs I made from the same log section about a month ago. They are rough-cut but you can see the grain a little better.
