MR Duck and I have been in talks about a floats for wood trade.

What he wants is something I've never done but have always wanted to do for myself and that's some ice fishing slip floats. I truly appreciate the trade otherwise I probably never would have gotten around to these!

I'm gonna show some progress pics and different profiles I'll be coming up along the way. It might be kinda lengthy because I will have to finish these one at a time and then produce since I'm going blind on weight here.

These will be raw at first then of course I'll stain em up all pretty and what not so he's the coolest lookin duck on the pond! :cool:

Why not we're always looking for a good excuse to drop another tree.

But Mr. Game Warden I had to chop down this cherry tree with the bumps all over it - my fishing tackle was stuck in the top! :mocking:

Ok the profile on the left is what I'll be using. Now to get these wet and see what it holds and were off from there with a couple minor adjustments more than likely.

What do you normally run under these on the ice duck? Are you dead sticking with a minnow and something like a northland eye dropper or something? Just trying to get an idea on weight.

Mr duck these Will be shipped this week along with the others. Had to do a little photo shoot first of just the ice floats. I know we talked a about adding a glow feature to these for at night but I just couldn't find a paint that glowed long or bright enough for my liking to put on and clear coat in. I do however have one last idea I'm gonna try before these leave. Hope ya like em. IMG_20150721_150219.webp
