Do you set a place at the dinner table for that piece? lol Is it enough to make drum out of?

That is just a close up of one end. The whole slab is gorgeous and it is exactly enough to make a drum out of. I've had it awhile but couldn't get it dry enough so now it is in the kiln and it will be a shell as soon as I can get to it. My childhood tree fort was in a Buttonwood tree so I asked my sawyer friend in Key West if he had any. He said I would have to help mill it, yay! So I did and that is one of the pieces I got. Not only do I think it is the prettiest piece of wood I own it has the cool factor for me and even the drum will probably stay with me. I have 2 other pieces from that. One will be a coffee table I already have mentally planned and the other I'm not sure.
