This is one of the nicest and musical piece of old stock rosewood I have kept in my
library- this Cocobolo (dalbergia retusa) is very reminiscent in heartwood color tone and grain make up that is exhibited in Brazilian rosewood; has some spiderwebbing and landscape grain.
Tight, fine grain and has musical tap tone response. Slated this to be used as a center stringer for a 3 piece guitar neck lamination. This is clean and clear without any natural defects. Air dried and well seasoned for close to 40 years.
Dimensions are approximately 27.50” x 1.50” wide x 1-3/16” tapering to a 1-1/16” thick. Physical weight is about 1.79 pounds- will ship at 3 pounds billable weight. Fluorescent overhead lighting used.
Price is $ plus shipping (3 pounds billable weight).
