Hello, I just thought I would post this piece. it is a little larger than the previous toothpicks. :yipee: 9'x 11"+ x 2 3/16. There are some nice spots with figure in this piece. This is not the largest piece I have but it is the largest I want to pack around without help.

Joe, 2000+- ft to go.:dash2: I have a one track mind though -walnut- you have all those exotics in your back yard.:yipee: Probably be a while before I get deeper in stack. I have a large pile skip planed for my upcoming projects.

RE: Walnut- a little bigger

Wow, beautiful stuff. Nine feet is a little long for me, but I'd certainly be interested in some 11" squares of this.

Heinz57, Do you have something to trade or? I really have no use for a piece that large eitther.

RE: Walnut- a little bigger

I have a few pieces of cocobolo spindle stock (2x2x12) that you might be interested in, but most of the wood I have is either on the smaller side for turning or in log form still.

Is this strictly up for trade or would you consider selling any of it?

RE: Walnut- a little bigger

Make me an offer-makes no difference to me- at 11" it would ship in a USPS flat rate box. My purpose- get my over grown piles of wood to a manageble size-if that is possible. This group of boards sit on top of an 800'+- pile of 1" stock 6-20" wide. I have no clue what is in pile. I guess it is a good problem to have. :yipee:

RE: Walnut- a little bigger

At 11" square and 2 3/16" thick that comes out to a little under 2 bd ft per, and I figure 3 could probably fit in a flat rate box, how does $20 per blank sound, $60 total (plus shipping, whatever that'll be)?

RE: Walnut- a little bigger

Heinz-box is 12x12 x5.5 it would hold 2 pieces plus a 4/4 piece but not 3. Now there may be a different flat rate size but I do not see it on line. It is a deal but we have to figure out Shipping. Mike, Maybe I look for something you want in thinner stock to fill-what will you be doing with it?

RE: Walnut- a little bigger

Two will be just fine, zip code is 91001, but I'll send you a pm with my address and all that. I'm going to be making some low and wide bowls out of this, so 4/4 might be a little small. I haven't jumped into doing any laminated/segmented turning yet either, but now I know where to get my walnut in case I need some on the thinner side.

Done deal

Mike, would you like to trade pieces 4 and 5 for a box of catalpa? I'd love to resaw that and use it for a tea box I want to do sometime soon.

RE: Walnut- a little bigger-UPDATE

Barb, I am not sure what I would do with it. I am one of those boring flatwork box guys- is there a box of that apple? Would that be fair? Also I have 2000+ ft of walnut-got just a little carried away- So I won't be running out soon. :yipee::yipee::lol::lol::yipee::yipee:

Hmm. No, I don't think I have enough apple to fill a box. What I have is narrower widths than the other shown for sale, and I need to keep it for pen blanks. No problem. I have black walnut I can use for the tea box, but it doesn't have the color and character of yours. Someone will want it, for sure!

Barb, what you got for sale would be close enough for me if it works for you-otherwise no harm no foul, Mike

Is that Kosher? Can I do that off the 'For Sale' board? Huh, can I?
Yes, if it complies with Kevin's rules. Yes, yes, yes!
