Colin (@Schroedc) has very generously offered to send me two restored bench planes in exchange for some wood. Here is what I came up with, but PLEASE let me know if this isn't want you're looking for, what you like, what you don't like, etc. This is mostly all turning stock (PM, pen, bowl, stopper, etc.), with one very figured piece of Texas Cypress and one piece of figured hard maple. This will be a heavy and packed gameboard FRB.
A few notes:
The pen blanks will include at least the following: stabilized FBEB, HRB, cherry burl. I will cram as much of the rest of the FBE, redwood burl, box elder burl as will fill the rest of the box up... those last three all came from Cliff.
The shortest PM blank is 12". They are (L to R) spalted oak?? (from Duck), ambrosia maple (covered in wax, so tough to see much), 2.5 sq FBE (I think from Kevin), super figure crotch maple (from Angie). The piece to the right is some figured hard maple (from Sprucegum).
The bowl blank is black oak burl 6 x 6 x (a hair under) 2.5. Really nice piece!! Next to is is a figured walnut crotch spindle and a gorgeous piece of Texas Cyrpess 8.5 x 8.5 x .75 with several places where insects have burrowed through. This has super figure!
If you don't like something, let me know... I also have lots of really great cocobolo, and loads of other pen blanks and PM blanks.
