One of the new things hitting the Taxidermy industry is "Feather Art". The feathers are individually glued to a backboard in consistent patterns to give a completely different display. I love them. They are time consuming and lot of work. Here's the first one I've done. Lots of learning curves doing it. Am I happy with it? Ehh! But the client is ecstatic, especially since his sons first bird had too many pinfeathers to do a life size mount.

Nice. I've seen some feather art also. It can get really intricate as you know. For a while there were a few guys using feathers to make small designs on fly rods which they'd cover with epoxy.

Genius! Undoubtedly you can easily accumulate extra feathers along the way. And it is itself a work of art! Chuck

Seen several people doing these and love it. A LOT and very time consuming tedious work. I don't have the patience for that. I'll pay someone to do it if I ever do have one done.

Very nice. Love the creativity. But I like my feather art to include kook, thread, maybe a bead and even some animal fur. That is, the feather art I prefer to make……. That is a very memorable piece of art.
