The natural edge part makes the narrowest point of that side 8” wide. And it runs about 8” long so only 4” of the length of that edge is not affected by the taper. There is a dry rot spot on the edge of the knot.

I was thinking this might make a nice top for a box for my daughters. If that really does look like a heart in person, then I almost have to use it! Question is...which daughter gets the heart? Maybe a project they can share would be a better choice...

Maybe try sawing a veneer. Then you could book match them and they would even match
