This is a floating lidded bowl that I did as a demo in Southwest Florida at the Peace River wood turning club last month.
The bowl is bottle brush burl, African blackwood finial and base, and man-made turquoise from Tucker's turnings out in Arizona.
It will be in Port Charlotte Florida this January at the South West Florida Wood Art Expo if anyone wants to go by and buy it at their auction!!

I modeled it after pieces that my friend Cindy Drozda makes.

That's a beautiful bowl Lee. And for an irregular shaped and delicate piece the finish looks amazing. That had to take some time to achieve.

He sells the man-made turquoise powders and granules, and copper powder also. It's excellent stuff. $12 for a whole pound and you can turn it for about 20 seconds with your tools!
