That’s pretty exciting you are able to mass produce these flutes so quickly. ChuckGot some rounding over to do today. The four on the left are the first blanks from @SA-Motors

Thanks! I've got the conveyor belt going pretty well now. I'm averaging about one per day this year. That’s pretty exciting you are able to mass produce these flutes so quickly. Chuck
That's pretty cool!!!Here's a transverse flute for @Harry-thefluteatelier , @ronnybounds and any other interested flute makers. It's from another of my many mahogany table legs. I'm just waiting for some steel rod in the right size so I can hot metal the embouchure hole nice and clean. It plays already but not great

Your gidgee is particularly nice.A set of flutes using wood from the lovely folks at Mooloo Timber in Australia. Left to right: white cedar, gidgee, gympie messmate, white beech, hoop pine, spotted gum and black bean

Gidgee is my new favourite!
Thanks! I should do another gidgee with one of the pieces that looks quite different. The black bean has a really nice mottled appearance, I should photograph these in close up as the beech has a nice figure too.Gidgee is nearly always at the top of my list! Your Gidgee flute confirms that! Beautiful! The Black Bean is rather interesting, one I've never heard of! Chuck
How many species have you down now? And how many are to go? You’re aiming for 1000 right?Your lychee crossed over with theirs, but it's a lovely wood to have spare of. This takes me to about 250 woods in the queue:/
I've finished 260 and this batch should take me to 500 species total in hand. I always seem to have twice as many as I've finished so I should keep going forever! About 50 more and I'll have no more surface space in the house to store themHow many species have you down now? And how many are to go? You’re aiming for 1000 right?
What a great problem to have! Time to build some shelves! ChuckI've finished 260 and this batch should take me to 500 species total in hand. Exactly what I was thinking! Know any woodworkers???What a great problem to have! Time to build some shelves! Chuck
Great display! I can envision a wall unit mounted with pegs at about a 60 degree angle to display hundreds of your prizes! ChuckExactly what I was thinking! Know any woodworkers???
I've got 17 spots left for my usual size of flute, which is why I've been doing more of the slightly bigger ones lately
