Got a free boat and trailer!

All done cutting.
Loading up in the morning for the last trip to the dump.
I did one load today and it was $30 to dump it. Thursdays load was only 20. This next one I suppose will be about 30.
$80 to dispose of a boat in 4 days.
Yea....so worth it.

Now you can get out your laser light leveler out and check the trailer over. Looks good from here....

And one day your palate will fully mature and you'll move up to whisky!
Well, it is just Jim Beam Black or Bulleit Bourbon....I do need to get some of the big boys' whisky.

You know what they say....
the two happiest days of a boat owner are the day they buy it and the day they sell it. Also boat stands for
Break
Out
Another
Thousand

On a different note...another officer and I were out working yesterday and heard on the radio from another district beside us on Claytor Lake, they were enroute to a hit and run boat accident. Ended up as a rental boat was leaving the slip after renting it. Hit four boats and left. Minor damage I believe. Blows my mind.

Way too many boats and inexperienced boaters out there. Between Memorial and Labor Days, I refuse to get in mine on weekends until about 6p on Sunday.

We have a little condo on a sound between 2 (low) bridges heading to the beach proper. By low I mean that even 16' center consoles can't get under them at high tide if they have t-tops. It appears to me that half the folks I see in boats and jet skis in this piece of water are teenagers... and they've taken to videoing themselves for social media going full speed under the bridges at high tide. It makes me sick to my stomach to see, knowing it's only going to take one small, unseen ripple and someone is getting decapitated. We've asked wildlife, uscg, and local PD to monitor the area - hope they'll do it before a tragedy, but they're all stretched pretty thin with drunks and idiots in busier waterways.

I won't fish southern Florida any more because there's just too many boats and people in them that don't know what they're doing. Mosquito Lagoon / Indian River is just about as bad.

We enjoy fishing here in Florida but we avoid the weekends… and Friday is just about as bad. West central Florida.

Are you still itchy?
From Mosquitos? Naw, actually I haven't seen many mosquitos fishing the lagoon. Gators for sure. No go down to Everglades, Flamingo, Chockolaskee, etc and I've lost a pint a blood in an hour to the little blood suckers.
