Mike, I don't have tremors, but both parents have dealt with them. From my observations, the one thing that helped both of them was anchoring their wrists, base of hand(s) and forearms against their body, or other stable structure when performing tasks. The other thing that might help is a wrist/hand brace that could help stabilize some of your movement.

I'd also encourage you to seek out a occupational therapist/specialist. Nearly every health care group has them available. Many of them specialize in strategies to help people stay active as they age so you can keep up with hobbies as well as everyday tasks. They may have strategies and or "appliances" that could be adapted to your particular circumstance and keep you turning.

My younger brother was born with tremors. He has a routine that an OT developed for him that helps a lot. I would echo that thought. The routines have always had rubbing certain muscles as a main part of the therapy.

I have some shake issues the last couple years, One thing that helps is heavy tools, I have a couple gouges and such with hollow aluminum handles, poured shot into them to weight them, the weight makes them heavy enough to counteract the shake. I'll also pinch the tool to the tool rest with my left hand and clamp the handle under my arm on the right to keep it steady. Moving my body instead of my arm to direct the tool.

I take Primidone for my tremors. It helps. Ask your Doctor about Primidone.
