I love to turn Milo, it turns nicely and sands well, it is very stable, I can cut the tree down today and make a bowl today, it will not warp or crack. The color when you cut it fresh is like a pinkish but it darkens with age, it you have a log aging for a few years you will get the dark and the pinkish colors as seen in my bowl. Aloha .Nice! How hard is the wood to turn?
You tag me cause it's pink? Does look like it might work well in my themed board, but I've never even heard of Milo!
Yes. Your quest was the reason for the tag. Guess you need to explore Hawaiian woods! ChuckYou tag me cause it's pink? Does look like it might work well in my themed board, but I've never even heard of Milo!

Mean, Cuz! It almost looks like a map on the wood! Superb piece.Hi everyone, here are some pictures of a Milo bowl that I made, the thing I like about this piece is not only the color in the Milo but I added some brass powder to the voids and used CA glue to harden it, I am pleased with the results. I hope you all enjoy the pictures. Aloha.
