Hi everyone, here are some pictures of a Milo bowl that I made, the thing I like about this piece is not only the color in the Milo but I added some brass powder to the voids and used CA glue to harden it, I am pleased with the results. I hope you all enjoy the pictures. Aloha.

Kia ora! This is amazing. Gotta convince the (not so) local wood dealer (Germany) to import some milo. They actually do things like this quite often. They import one log of something (or chainsawed blanks) and sell it to gauge interest. If it sells well enough they import more. They haven’t done milo yet so I’ll try and convince them.

Nice! How hard is the wood to turn?
I love to turn Milo, it turns nicely and sands well, it is very stable, I can cut the tree down today and make a bowl today, it will not warp or crack. The color when you cut it fresh is like a pinkish but it darkens with age, it you have a log aging for a few years you will get the dark and the pinkish colors as seen in my bowl. Aloha .
