Hi folks,

I'm David from Germany and I'm doing hand-tool woodworking for a few years now as a hobby. I make jointed furniture but started some treadle lathe turning in order to make a Windsor chair. I mostly work with common woods like pine, ash or oak, but I enjoy getting to know other wood species when I get the chance. I'm glad to call a wood sample box with about 40 or so species my own.

Looking forward to participating here, albeit probably not on a daily basis. This does look like a nice place to hang around. :-)

don't believe the brinkster.....that's not really a picture of him. He's much, much hairy-er. He looks more like the hairy guy in his avatar....
