Hi from the Golden Gate

Hi I'm a hobby woodworker in San Francisco who likes making Shaker style furniture.

I started lurking this site after I discovered some figured walnut at a local woodcraft and started wanting to incorporate figure in my work, mostly thinking about drawer fronts. Here are some cutting boards I made from that batch:

Here is a cherry side stand, where the front was a find at the end of a 10' long board (the left side of the top also seemed special):

Most of the furniture I make is cherry, which I like for the color.

It’s typically priced at a very reasonable cost.

Thanks. I believe two were big leaf maple and the other one was curly maple.
