Lewis, sorry I'm late to the party. Welcome from South Texas, great pictures, looking forward to seeing more! Tony

Lewis, welcome from northcentral PA. Very nice work!

Do you sell or trade the bottle openers without handles?

I sure could. Would sell or trade them.

Welcome, from Alabama. In addition to bottle openers, is there other hardware you sell that turners may be interested in?

@Lewis why don't you start a trade thread for your bottle openers. I would like some too. Do you make them or get them elsewhere?

I have the shape cut out to help speed up the process so they aren't so time consuming, then hammer forge and I
Put on a handle. I will get a trade thread going soon as i fill all my Christmas orders.

I don't think so. I am definitely to ideas though. Nothing keeps me going than trying to come up with ideas to make something or to figure out how to something

I'm trying not to be jealous here... Drive that big ol' truck or turn out great work with metal and wood. Great options either way.

Welcome!

Here's an idea. Make a full set of traditional fire place tools (log poker, ash broom, dust pan, and the stand) except with wood turned handles.

Thanks. I get the blades from rockler. They sell a knife kit however I never used one.

Lewis I just got a 2 burner Chili Forge for heat treating and forging knives. My anvil is pretty old and I am sure I will need to trade up sometime. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. I may even try to make a few bottle openers but I do not have a lathe so my handles will be more rustic.

Welcome Lewis! I was just watching a show on Discover Channel the other night about the Kennecot Mine, largest man-made excavation in the world! Very cool, Is that where you work? Heck, you may even been the guy driving the truck in the film...

Ya that's where I work. I will have to find the show it was on since I have not seen it.

Sorry to say I din't catch the name of it since I'm a constant channel surfer, but it was a segment from a show about a variety of amazing stuff...
