Hello everyone! My name is Steve and I live in High Point, NC. I am the owner of a burl importing business. I currently import and sell mainly Aussie Burl. I am in the process of expanding into Domestic Species.

I am an avid woodworker and turn a lot on the lathe when I am not busy selling Burl on Ebay and Etsy. My handle is Burlsnwood on ebay and etsy. I am here to make contacts and find anyone with possible tips on those who harvest Burls here in the U.S. and are selling.

Thanks to all for reading!

Steve

Howdy Steve, welcome to the club....

Welcome Steve, we would love to see some stuff you have turned from your sweet burls...

We like burl. We won't run you off since you are not from SENC. Some people from that corner seem to be supercilious, biggety, and even a little shifty.

I would love to visit the Forbidden City museum I bet that place has some eye candy in it!

:welcome2:

Another California welcome! Lots of interest here for burls. Aspen burls can be pretty exciting on the domestic side. Chuck

Welcome Steve!

I also would like to see some turnings from your burl!

Steve, welcome from Montana.
I'm another that would be interested in seeing some of your creations.

Steve, Welcome from South Texas! I'm with all the others, show off your work!!!! Tony

Welcome to Wood Barter. I will also echo the request for pictures of your burl turnings oh and burls.

Welcome Steve! Fellow NC wood addict here, down in Lincoln county. I mostly deal with burl also, cherry and maple because it is more prominent around these parts. Great to have you here!

Hey Steve, welcome from the east side of Charlotte. You're not far at all...may have to bring my wife over to do some Christmas shopping. :gotmywood:

Hi Steve, a hearty welcome to you. I just took this photo to make you feel at home, an Aussie Red Mallee turning! For scale I included a 5" crotch Walnut knife block that was cut for me from one of my larger blocks. I just moved and will no longer have a shop with a bandsaw, etc., very depressing to send wood out for cutting, getting old takes getting used to!
You should fit in well here, it's like a warm living room with a fire going and a beautiful burl in your hand. Of course, a glass of good sipping rum in the other! :)
