Hollow Spheres

Very cool Todd, I bet that jig is a big help. I was just thinking as it would be kinda cool to make a segmented sphere, but doubt if I ever will, unless someone pays me like, like they did you, but who knows... it would be a cool conversation piece...

It was a lot of work and glue. I made two of them.

I also broke the two plastic knob set screw pieces. Why would anyone put plastic on a jig like this. I called Carter this morning and they said they would bring it up at there next meeting but was not offered any compensation. I also was not over confident or overly impressed with the conversation so.... take it or what it's worth. I looked into other jigs but I needed the diameter range this on offered

Interesting. That looks cool. What are the escape games?

I'm not real informative on it but I know they have them North of here in Erie. It is themed and I think a group of people go into a room or building with clues and objects to try to figure out to escape in a certain time frame. These spheres will be used on a set of sorta railroad tracks or rails which will roll down from room to room with objects or clues to other groups

Aha....yea I know what that is. I haven't been to one yet, but someday I will...
Cool...

Even with all your troubles those are very cool, I like them. Makes me want to build a jig and try it just because.
Nicely done.:good2:

I'm right there with you Greg! I'll see something like this and think, "I need that, that looks cool!". I have no business with it, I can't turn a normal piece worth a darn, I certainly shouldn't attempt a sphere. I want to though!! Tony
