How do I contact a member about buying wood?

Welcome from Austria. You may want to make that intro post more complete. You can contact a member by becoming one yourself. You do that by posting four times in this introduction thread. Then you gain member privileges like being able to direct message.

Ignore the Texans and read our rules.
Good luck!

Howdy Paul, welcome to the club....
Take some time to read our simple rules. They explain everything.

Thanks for the feedback.
I guess I hadn't read all of the rules

So far, I've made things as small as hair pins and things as big as a conference room table.

My most recent interects has been doing some work on some small items, and I wanted to see what its like to work with Austrailian Buloke. I saw a couple of posts with pieces for sale

I started my working career in toold and die, so I've worked with metal a lot. I'm guessing that Australian Buloke is almost the same

Buloke is not actually the hardest wood. Waddywood is (on average. Endra endra has the highest singular value). Though good luck getting your hands on either. Apparently purple gidgee is second best. @Friedrich9 can probably get you both purple gidgee and or buloke. Endra endra is harder to get and waddywood is damn near impossible to find. I’m still looking for both.

I originally found this site when I typed "Australian Buloke for sale" in Google. Friedrich9 came up as someone that had a couple of pieces. So I was trying to contact him (her?) to see about buying a piece. If I have access now, I'll contact Friedrch9 and see what's available.
Thanks for the info on the other types of super-hard woods.

I have already tagged him in my post so he will see but a dm can’t hurt. He is an experienced seller so he will be able to handle all the rules and such pretty well.

I have bought from him before. Our trade was way more convoluted than most trades on here but it worked out and that purple gidgee is looking mighty fine doing nothing in a box in my Cellar.

Ah, a fellow wood-hoarder. Does this site also serve as a support group for this affliction?
Thanks for your help

Paul, Welcome from North Texas!

This site has some members with outstanding collections of wood, and a few woodworkers / woodturners, along with a bit of cheerful banter mixed in for fun. You'll fit right in!
