Hello, I'm Ben and I'm a woodaholic... Wait, I suppose that would express that I believe I have a problem. Actually, the stuff might drive me crazy at times, but for the most part it is how I stay (relatively) sane.
I work mostly in salvaging and repairing architectural antiques in my job. I'm not master by any stretch, a novice by most standards, but I manage to get the job done. Most of the wood I work with is also antique, mostly walnut, oak, pine and poplar. A lot of my wood stash looks like junk, even to most woodworkers. While using this wood tends to be labor intensive(cutting off broken edges, stripping paint, etc.), it is easier to match to the items I work with.
I'm learning, still collecting tools I need, finding ways around not having everything I should for what I do. No matter how I look at it or what I do with it, I love it and always will.
